Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Russ will be Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 11 am at the United Methodist Church of Harbor Beach, with Pastor Karen Kinney officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Russ will be on Tuesday, from 4-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Wednesday, will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am.

Russ is survived by his wife Carol Brown of Harbor Beach, their children: Tracy Bischer of Palms, Michael L. Brown of Butlerville, Indiana, Mark A. Brown of Manistee, MI, grandchildren: Amanda (Garet) Cook, McKenna (Chris) Benson, Meagan (Special friend Wayne Messing) Bischer, great grandchildren: Chase, Easton, Tyler, Kaycie, Adeline, Olivia, Lainey, a sister Linda Gordon of Cambridge, Minnesota, and his nieces and nephews.

Biography

Russell L. Brown, age 85 of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026 at his home, under hospice care, with his family by his side. He was born on April 24, 1941 in Marlette to the late Gordon and Laura (Day) Brown. Russell served in the US Air Force. Russ and Carol Eastman were united in marriage on June 23, 1962 in Brown City. Together they owned and operated a surveying company. Russ was a member of the United Methodist Church of Harbor Beach, the NRA, and the John Deere Two Cylinder Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and gardening.
