As soon as weather permits, the playscape project in the village of Pigeon will resume.
Some preparation work was done last year.
When work is able to resume, the plan is for the sidewalk that will lead from the Scheurer Path to the Fitness Walking Path to the play area.
Also, the DPW is updating the camera system that will allow views of the weather and road conditions, and approval was given for Dubs Company, LLC to do asphalt repairs to Eichker, Ruppert, Bliss and Moeller streets.
It was noted that Emterra's yard waste service won't resume until April 1.
Until then residents will need to keep trash cans and portable basketball hoops out of the streets.
Residents who have branches, leaves, or grass clippings need to take them to the DPW Garage at 70 N. Main St.
Placing them on the street creates a hazard for other residents and makes it difficult to clear snow.
Also, there is no overnight parking on village streets between 2 and 6 p.m. There will be a ticket issued for those who violate the rules.
