Some financial issues were reviewed by the Oliver Township Board of Trustees.
CPA Sara Mallory, who is with Nietzke & Faupel Accounting firm, presented the biennial-audit report to the board.
She noted the township's finances were satisfactory and that was reflected in their written report that she provided.
It was decided to have Mallory work with the township on the next financial budget to utilize more of the QuickBooks features.
The township has been using the Excel program to generate financial spreadsheets, but Mallory will help the township switch to QuickBooks which will be faster and easier than using Excel.
Also, Mallory generated the numbers for the retirement system contributions which need to be made next month.
During the meeting, the township's Fire Chief Jim Seley reported that as of November the department had 76 runs. That is down slightly from 87 runs in 2024, but there are still a few more weeks before the end of the year.
Seley explained that two firemen are going to the firefighter school.
