Hemlock Fieldhouse Nearing Completion For Early 2026 Opening

Construction on Hemlock Public School District's Patrick Wolgast Fieldhouse continues to move forward, with the new community wellness and athletics facility projected to open in early 2026.
The 10,000-square-foot fieldhouse - supported by a $1 million federal grant and community donations - will serve students and residents year-round with space for training, fitness, and recreation. Work has advanced rapidly in recent months, with steel framing complete and interior construction underway.
Board President Matt Wesener said the project reflects "community generosity and a commitment to the whole child," while Superintendent Dr. Don Killingbeck emphasized its broader goal of fostering health and connection across Hemlock.
Pumford Construction, the project's general contractor, also contributed in-kind services to help maximize resources. The district expects to share additional updates as finishing work continues and invites continued community support through its project webpage.
